Mud Bog Event Rules
GENERAL RULES
The
following rules shall apply to entries in any of the below classes of Mud Bog.
Failure to do so will result in disqualification and/or removal from the
fairgrounds.
1.
All drivers must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
which must be presented at registration.
2.
Each vehicle will only be permitted to compete in one class.
Tire changes and driver changes will not be permitted.
3.
The entry fee will be $20 per vehicle and includes admission into the pit
area for the driver. Pre-registration
of vehicle is encouraged.
4.
The Pit Entry Fee will be $10 per person.
Children under the age of 12 will not be permitted to enter the pit area.
Proof of age will be required.
5.
All drivers are
required to wear an approved safety helmet.
Full-face helmets are recommended. Safety
belts are required and MUST be worn during participation in the
event until it is completed. (Factory
installed shoulder straps are recommended.)
Drivers must stay in their vehicle with their helmet and safety belts on
until the competition is over. Drivers
will be disqualified for the evening if the driver unhooks seatbelts or removes
helmet prior to completion.
6.
All drivers must wear eye protection in the form of goggles or a face
shield. Regular eye glasses will
not meet this requirement.
7.
A 5 MPH speed limit must be maintained at all times in the pit area,
parking lot, and driveways. Reckless
driving, speeding or operating outside of the established boundaries will result
in disqualification.
8.
No passengers are to be riding on or in event vehicles at any time.
This includes pit area, parking lot and driveway.
Passengers are not permitted in the vehicle during competition.
9.
The only people allowed on the track at any time will
be drivers, officials, and towing personnel.
10.
No alcohol or intoxicated individuals will be permitted in the pit area.
Any alcohol will be confiscated and intoxicated individuals will be
ejected from the fairgrounds and subject to being arrested.
Drivers may be subject to an Alcohol Breathalyzer test.
11.
All persons in the pit area must display the official wristband for the
event or they will be removed from the pit area.
12.
All vehicles must be removed from the racetrack within one hour after
competition has ended and from the fairgrounds by 1:00 a.m.
VEHICLE
RULES
1.
No dual wheeled vehicles are permitted.
2.
Modifications to the vehicle are permitted for any class of entry.
3.
Open cab vehicles must have roll bars.
4.
All vehicles have a fire extinguisher.
5.
No additional weight can be added to the vehicle.
6.
No loose objects are permitted in the vehicle.
7.
Trucks shall have a secure pull back hitch.
No clevis will be provided.
8.
No combustion accelerators or nitrous oxide.
9.
Any driver making it through the pit must stop immediately and await
instructions by the officials.
10.
If the official feels that the vehicle can no longer move forward under
its own power in the pit, the driver will be instructed by the official to stop.
CLASSES OF VEHICLES
All
trucks will be classified by wheel size only.
(Not according to wheelbase or engine size).
Paddle type tires are not permitted.
Stock
Wheel size up to 34 inches - DOT Street Legal Tires
Super
Stock Wheel size over 34 inches but not
greater than 38.5 inches
DOT
Street Legal Tires
Modified
Wheel size over 38.5 inches but not greater than 44 inches
DOT
Street Legal Tires
Super
Modified Wheel
size up to 44 inches – No tires over 44 inches
Cut
tires and non street legal tires
